Drones become essential photography tool for years. And with every new invention for selfies, they’re about to be more popular. That’s why, Zero Zero Robotics, after successful Hover Camera Passport drone, comes with possibly the smartest drone to date, the Hover 2. The company said that inside-out design is there to ensure a smooth and safe flying experience.
It is a great selfie drone; with 4K videos recording capability, autonomous flight modes and a carbon fiber safety cage. But Hover 2 has some drawbacks as well. That includes flight time, operational distances, image stabilization, and a lack of frame-rate options were all identified as areas for improvement.
The Specs
While talking about the specs, the Hover 2 has an iconic, folding carbon fiber, removable, prop cage. Which can be swapped out for a more aerodynamic set of “blastoff” guards. The camera is now mounted to a 2-axis gimbal and uses electronic image stabilization for the third axis. Yet it has no more integrated flash, but the new CMOS sensor is HDR-capable and adds a burst-shooting mode for stills. There’s an plenty of video options associated with this innovative selfie drone. It has resolutions that run from 720p at 60 or 120 frames per second, all the way up to 4K at 30 fps, with stops along the way at 1080p and 2.7K.
Other Features
The Hover 2 drone, uses advanced AI to fly autonomously, features an upgraded Snapdragon processor and a new pop-up radar system to help it track subjects and avoid obstacles. besides that, the Hover 2 has a feature Optical Radar, which is a rotational stereo sensor that offers 360-degree depth perception and obstacle avoidance. however, the new drone is paired with the new housing and the remote. On the other hand, the light time is little less, it has only 23 minutes of flight time with a 3 mile control range. It’s got a 2-axis gimbal and electronic image stabilization, and can capture 4K videos and take photos in 12MP image quality.
